On July 11, 2025, Yagn Foundation conducted a seminar for middle school children, titled The Sweet Truth: Why Too Much Sugar Isn’t So Sweet, discussing how we all enjoy the taste of sugar and how it provides a quick burst of energy, but also why this temporary pleasure can lead to long-term problems. Students were surprised to learn about the hidden sugars present in everyday foods like juices, cereals, packaged snacks, fizzy drinks, breads, and sauces. The agenda was to educate students about the impact of consuming too much sugar, create awareness and encourage mindful habits. Our key message to the students was that sugar itself isn’t bad, but excess sugar can affect their health and well-being, and by making small, smart choices every day, they can enjoy sweets without compromising their future.
